Steward's Report
Mr. Neat – Late scratching at 9.25am due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. Paul Ellul informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown prior to departing for the track. Stewards advised Mr Ellul that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
Mepunga Echo, Solar Toby and River Matt raced wide throughout the event.
Mepunga Echo ran wide and collided with River Matt, and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Supplementary Report – 31-1-24:
The 28 day stand down was removed from Mr. Neat following the production of evidence, to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
