Queen Shakira was quick to begin. 

Pride Of Essay was slow to begin, stumbled soon after box rise, lost ground and eventually tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right carpal sprain and a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Daniel Hoch, the trainer of Pride Of Essay regarding its performance in this event. After hearing submissions from Mr. Hoch, viewing the available race footage, and acting on their observations, the Stewards deemed the performance of Pride Of Essay unsatisfactory. Pride Of Essay must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Yallaroo - New declared weight of 33.3kg, last raced at 32.2kg. 

Rubber Bucky was slow to begin. 

Yallaroo faltered at the 250m and eventually tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed right monkey and right back muscle injuries. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 19(3)(w), Mr. Petersen was directed to produce a veterinary certificate of fitness for Yallaroo, before any further nominations are accepted.

Jax Flash was quick to begin.

Big Boy Andre (lost ground from the 200m onward) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right and left hip injuries and a left triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race sample was taken from Brave Lad - winner of the event. 

Luna Beauty was quick to begin. Coomera Lad and Special Marjen slow to begin. 

Coomera Lad (tailed the field throughout) underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was re-examined following race 12 and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. Brent Merton indicated the greyhound would now be retired. 

Stewards reminded Mr. Gregory McLachlan of his responsibilities, pursuant to GAR 81(1), after the greyhound Pretty Panama, which he caught in the event, escaped his hands whilst returning to the kennel area. Pretty Panama underwent a post-race veterinary examination following this incident - no apparent injury was reported. 

Black Spectre raced wide throughout. 

White Snow and Book Of Capers were quick to begin.

Two Reasons (raced ungenerously approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Joe Uglietta regarding the racing manners of Two Reasons. After hearing evidence from Mr. Uglietta, viewing the available race footage, and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
