Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Oakvale Destiny engaged in this event on 16/12/2014 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Super Venus was a late scratching at 1.02pm on the advise of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to swelling to the left hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mepunga Treasure, Cosmic Wise and One Kay were slow to begin. Oakvale Destiny was very slow to begin.
Cosmic Wise and Mepunga Treasure collided soon after the start. Avondale Porche and Jubilea Bale collided soon after the start. Oakvale Destiny, Mepunga Treasure and Cosmic Wise collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Treasure. Avondale Porche and Jubilea Bale collided on the second turn checking Jubilea Bale. Cosmic Wise and Mepunga Treasure collided on the home turn and again in the home staright.
Cosmic Wise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder and left monkey muscle soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Oakvale Destiny - winner of the event.
