Aston Agile was a late scratching at 2.00pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. K. Smyth was fined the sum of $100.

Atlas Hawk was quick to begin. Sir Reuben was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Milly's Legacy checked off Because She Can soon after the start. Cosmic Madness and Because She Can collided approaching the first turn checking King Gibbo, Some Tricks, Cosmic Madness and Because She Can. Sir Reuben clipped the heels of Because She Can approaching the home turn checking Sir Reuben and Because She Can. Some Tricks checked off King Gibbo in the home straight.

Kyancutta, Forever Loved and Wild About Ty were slow to begin. Betty Baker and Mouth For War collided approaching the first turn. Forever Loved checked off Volatile Bale on the first turn. Kyancutta and Betty Baker collided approaching the home turn checking Betty Baker

Forever Loved was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

General Hap and Hotshot Booker collided soon after the start.  Fabio To Excel and Morello collided soon after the start.  Iron Diamond lost ground approaching the first turn and tailed off.  Morello and Kraken Blaze collided on the home turn, checking Kraken Blaze.  Hotshot Booker and Fabio To Excel collided in the home straight, checking Fabio To Excel.

Iron Diamond was vetted following the event and revetted following race 6. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the right shoulder, right hip, left stopper, both metacarpals and both groins. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Carlanna Lois was a late scratching at 2:49pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. P. Bull was fined the sum of $100.

Sparkeen was quick to begin. Funda Fault and Zelemar Zippa collided approaching the first turn checking Zelemar Zippa and Miss Trewvain. Bar No Comment and Angorra collided on the first turn checking Angorra. Bar No Comment checked off Zelemar Zippa approaching the home turn. Miss Trewvain checked off Bar No Comment approaching the home turn. Mumbles Murray checked off Funda Fault in the home straight.

Derby Magic and Girthy were quick to begin. Spring Jade and Final Bid collided soon after the start checking Spring Jade and Cose Drom. Cruisy's Joy, Spring Jade and Cose Drom collided approaching the first turn. Planetman and Derby Magic collided approaching the first turn. Planetman, Girthy and Derby Magic collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Girthy. Cose Drom checked off Spring Jade approaching the home turn. Spring Jade raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Cruisy's Joy checked off Derby Magic in the home straight.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Final Bid became dislodged soon after the start.

Bar No Blue was a late scratching at 8:45am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Sheoak Blue Boy and Beljay Fantasy were quick to begin and collided soon after the start. Jungle Warfare and Aussie Irish collided soon after the start checking Jungle Warfare. Aussie Irish and Woomera collided on the first turn. Aussie Irish checked off Woomera approaching the home turn. Aussie Irish checked off Jungle Warfare entering the home straight.

Ambergris Lady was slow to begin. Scintillating checked off Motangi on the first turn. Motangi and Ambergris Lady collided approaching the second turn. Limburg Layne and Noosa Rocket collided approaching the second turn. Laquita Lass checked off Enjoy Cruising approaching the home turn checking Limburg Layne. Laquita Lass and Long Sigh collided approaching the home turn and entering the home straight. Long Sigh checked off Laquita Lass in the home straight.

Fine Diner was quick to begin. Seabrook Snow, Southwood Denis and Sapporo were slow to begin. Fine Diner crossed to the rail soon after the start. Del Rio checked off Maysoon Kahn approaching the first turn. Seabrook Snow galloped on the heels of Mar Wah on the first turn checking Seabrook Snow, Mar Wah, Southwood Denis and Sapporo. Mar Wah and Southwood Denis collided several times on the home turn and again in the home straight checking Mar Wah. Del Rio and Sappora collided in the home straight checking Del Rio.
