Smash it and Pop Wright collided soon after the start, checking Smash It. Kallara Tipene and Puzzle And Me collided soon after the start and again approaching the 250m mark. Oscar's Champ and Abandon Paradise collided at the 250m mark. Abandon Paradise, Pop Wright, Kallara Tipene and Puzzle And Me colldied approaching the 200m mark, checking all four greyhounds. Kallara Tipene galloped on the heels of Puzzle And Me at the 200m mark, checking both greyhounds. One Step Beyond and Walter Miti collided aprpoaching the 150m mark. Smash It and Pop Wright collided at the 150m mark, checking Smash It. Walter Miti eased at the 50m mark. Puzzle And Me galloped on the heels of Walter Miti approaching the winning post, checking Walter Miti.
Kallara Tipene was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to S Collyer the handler of the greyhound Walter Miti regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Walter Miti with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. S Collyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Walter Miti was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(A)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. .
Stewards spoke to S Collyer regarding the direction that the greyhound Walter Miti be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
