Steward's Report
Aston Sterling – Late scratching at 6.07pm due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–arrival, no stand down period was imposed.
Show Princess – Late scratching at 6.08pm due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–arrival, no stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lily Crackers.
That's Rare (raced wide entering the home straight, checking Lily Crackers and Chasing Boodie) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Shaun Baulch concerning That's Rare's racing manners on the home turn. Mr. Baulch submitted to Stewards That's Rare's attempt to race wide was the primary cause of the interference. Stewards accepted Mr. Baulch's evidence that, whilst That's Rare had drifted away from the running rail, this action did not constitute a breach of the rules of racing. Subsequently, Stewards took no further action.
