Steward's Report
Ron's Mistake – Late scratching at 6.15pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to have pyrexia. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Debbie Bewley was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Ron's Mistake, pursuant to GAR 88.
MIchael Bewley was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Smackdown Shaka, pursuant to GAR 88.
Tom's Bourbski and Turnpike Lane were quick to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Tom's Bourbski – the winner of the event.
Smackdown Shaka racing manners home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right gracilis muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr M Bewley regarding the racing manners of Smackdown Shaka in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr M Bewley, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
