Steward's Report
Hurricane Pat, Lovely Romeo and Bomber's Lady were slow to begin.
Avery Charm was checked and faltered on first turn and subsequently tailed off. Avery Charm underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 11. Avery Charm was found to have a left back muscle injury, right long head triceps muscle injury and left hind foot abrasion. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Lovely Romeo was severely checked approaching the home turn, contacted the outside fence and subsequently tailed off. Lovely Romeo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist, right biceps, right triangle and abrasions to the right hind foot and right metatarsal. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms V. Sultana regarding the racing manners of Hurricane Daisy on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Ms. Sultana, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
