A pre–race sample was taken from Charlotte's Hand.
Ziggy Boy and Charlotte's Hand were slow to begin.
Gus The Bus turned it's head and visibly eased in the home straight. Underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Ms. Donna Dean regarding Gus The Bus’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Gus The Bus was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Dean pleaded guilty to the charge. Gus The Bus was suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
