Steward's Report
Dr. Racheal – Late scratching at 7:58 am when Ms Emily Mcmahon reported the greyhound to have illness Diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
A pre–race sample was taken from Out Of Magic.
Minter Deluxe, Happy Good Guy and Brick Walls were slow to begin.
Brick Walls, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a papilloma to the left hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Flexible visibly eased on the first turn and subsequently pulled up, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr Billy Stockdale declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr Stockdale regarding Flexible’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Flexible was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Stockdale pleaded guilty to the charge. Flexible was suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
