Lakeview Miss was quick to begin.  Lyley Boy and Bellagambo were slow to begin.  Axis Bale, Keep Warm, Lyley Boy, Bellagambo and Yellowrock Flame collided soon after the start.  Keep Warm and Bellagambo collided on the first turn.  Axis Bale and Yellowrock Flame collided on the first turn.  Keep Warm clipped the heels of Yellowrock Flame approaching the home turn, Keep Warm stumbled and fell as a result.  Axis Bale and Oakmont Malawi collided approaching the home turn checking Oakmont Malawi.  Oakmont Malawi raced wide on the home turn.

Willowvale Black was quick to begin.  Riley's Charm, Feeling Lucky and Had It All were slow to begin.  Benta Bale, Macalister Sam, Wicky Secret and Knight's Destiny collided soon after the start checking Benta Bale.  Wicky Secret clipped the heels of Knight's Destiny approaching the first turn and stumbled as a result checking Riley's Charm.  Benta Bale and Had It All collided on the first turn.  Wicky Secret and Riley's Charm collided on the first turn checking Wicky Secret.  Feeling Lucky galloped on the heels of Wicky Secret approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.

Benny's Reality was slow to begin.  Pipeline Rumour, Razor Rose, Viva Maria and Amercia Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Pipeline Rumour, Viva Maria and Amercia Bale severely checking Riley Jack and Where's Sandy.  Pipeline Rumour, Viva Maria, Amercia Bale and Little Boots collided on the first turn checking Pipeline Rumour and Viva Maria.  Benny's Reality raced wide approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Dr. Gomez was a late scratching at 17:22 on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
