Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Simba's Queen.
Polar Teddy was quick to begin. Big Stacks and Got Ink were slow to begin.
Hunter McCrae was severely checked on the first turn and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a bruising. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Got Ink was severely checked on the first turn and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right metacarpal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Simba's Queen turned it's head outwards on the first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Sean Lithgow regarding Simba's Queen’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Simba's Queen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Lithgow pled guilty to the charge, Simba's Queen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
