Behind Greywalls – Late scratching at 16:57 due to the greyhound being on season[GAR 76]. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Dainty Folly was slow to begin.
Arthello Bale pulled up and collided with Bourbon Barrels on the home turn. Arthello Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Mark Johnson regarding Arthello Bale’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Arthello Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge. Arthello Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Marino was severely checked on the home turn and subsequently lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
