Steward's Report
Smooth Ranger was quick to begin. Bar Code was slow to begin.
Smooth Ranger (severely checked on the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a torn left fore dew claw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mayan Chief (marred Smooth Ranger on the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Danny Cortese regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Mayan Chief was charged with marring. Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge. Mayan Chief was suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
