Steward's Report
Lamia Alessia– Late scratching at 8.22am when Mr. Lorenzo Carbone reported the greyhound to have a triangle injury(GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
He Shines and Vulcan Icon were slow to begin.
Vulcan Icon- underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Mortality- underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request, and was found to have a laceration. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Kraken Casper underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left carpal sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Kevin Eyles regarding Kraken Casper’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Kraken Casper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge. Kraken Casper was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
