Steward's Report
Lektra Flying was quick to begin.
Radical Rex (incident at follow on lure) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left hock and right triangle muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Bounty Chief (incident at follow on lure) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration between the shoulder blades and a haematoma in the right shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Jennifer Torr regarding Radical Rex’s aggressive behaviour towards the greyhound Bounty Chief following the event, at the finish on lure. After hearing submissions from Ms. Torr and Steward Mr Jaden Smith, Stewards deemed the behaviour of Radical Rex unsatisfactory. Radical Rex must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 131(1)(d), and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
