Our Rascal– New declared weight of 31.6kg, last raced at 30.2kg.
Our Rascal, Son Of Brock and Skye Patrol were quick to begin.
Hillbilly Lass visably eased and turned its head to outside approaching winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain.. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Jennifer Wilson regarding Hillbilly Lass’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Hillbilly Lass was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Wilson pleaded guilty to the charge. Hillbilly Lass was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Son Of Brock - the winner of the event.
