Steward's Report
Wild Storms – Late scratching at 10:00am due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. J. Kantzidis was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Thunder Pie.
Thunder Pie and Slingshot Roxy were quick to begin. Venice Bale and Jenny's Chances were slow to begin.
Jenny's Chances raced wide in the home straight.
Twilight King (turned its' head to the outside and marred Slingshot Roxy), underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. S. Vantaarling regarding Twilight King’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Twilight King was charged with marring. Mr. Vantaarling pleaded guilty to the charge. Twilight King is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
