Steward's Report
In Their Honour– Late scratching at 12:55 on the advice of the On– Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to diarrhoea. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Baldo was quick to begin. Valdivian and Hurricane Pat were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Hurricane Pat – the winner of the event.
Valdivian, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right torn nail. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Hurricane Tahlia, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Baldo, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left spike wound. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Murray Collyer regarding Baldo’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Baldo was charged with marring. Mr Collyer pleaded guilty to the charge. Baldo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at today’s track and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
