Soda Hawk (turned head outwards turning into the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Mathew Hovey regarding Soda Hawk’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Soda Hawk was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hovey pleaded not guilty to the charge. Soda Hawk was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Abraxas Bale (shifted wide and turned head outwards turning into the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
