Steward's Report
Always A Thrill – Late scratching at 18:18 due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Christopher Tilley was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Monkey's Style.
Plutocrazy stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin.
Monkey's Style raced wide in the home straight.
Blue Bayou lost ground approaching the home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right fore spike wound. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Dawn Johnston regarding Blue Bayou overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms. Johnston to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Blue Bayou in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. Further, Stewards require a veterinary certificate of fitness to be produced before any further nominations are accepted for Blue Bayou, in accordance with GAR19(3)(w).
Supplementary Report 27/06/24: Ms Dawn Johnson, notified Stewards in accordance with GAR 122 that Blue Bayou was found to have torn left shoulder injury.
