Steward's Report
Race day samples were taken from Irish Millie, Excavator Ticket and Black Silencer at the trainers' kennels earlier today.
A pre-race sample was taken from Exploded.
Sunnyside Jo and Wild Cash were quick to begin. Black Silencer was slow to begin.
Exploded (marred Sunnyside Jo turning off the back straight on the second occasion) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Stewards spoke to Kennel Represenative, Ms. Holly Thompson regarding Exploded's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Exploded was charged with marring. Ms. Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge. Exploded is suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sunnyside Jo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left ear. No stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Excavator Ticket - winner of the event.
