Flying Hot was quick to begin. Ollie Deeds was slow to begin.
Reiko Dusty visibly eased and collided with Silent Bullet in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left long head triceps muscle injury.A10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Colin Brennan regarding Reiko Dusty’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125,Reiko Dusty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Brennan pleaded guilty to the charge, Reiko Dusty was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Silent Bullet underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left fore spike wound. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Inguanti regarding the racing manners of Silent Bullet in the home striaght. After hearing submissions from Mr Inguanti, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
