Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 22 degrees and the kennel temperature was 20.7 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Weather – Adjustment to Hot Weather Requirements
Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, Stewards dispensed with two requirements prior to Race 1, meaning greyhounds were no longer required to remain on course for the specified time, and that the parading of greyhounds was to occur, as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.
Mira Bale – Late scratching at 16:30 with Stewards Permission in accordance with GAR 19(4)(b) - Non Penalty.
During kennelling, Stewards conducted a carpark check on the vehicles of all trainers engaged in today’s meeting. Stewards were satisfied that all transport had adhered to the GRV Hot Weather Policy and the GRV Transportation of Greyhounds Policy.
The start of this event was rescheduled to commence at 18:53 due to heavy rain in the area.
First Mate and Annie Mikado were quick to begin. Never Around was slow to begin.
There was no head on vision available in the home straight.
