Selynya Blue (checked and fell turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Capital Gain - winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Martin Galea regarding the racing manners of Dig Dag on the home turn and into the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Galea, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
