Steward's Report
Super Tone – Late scratching at 4.01pm when Trainer Mr Clint Capuano reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Fighting Boxer.
Royal Gypsy was quick to begin.
Kai Bale (racing manners entering home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Correy Grenfell regarding Kai Bale's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Kai Bale was charged with marring. Mr. Grenfell pleaded guilty to the charge. Kai Bale was suspended for 28 days at The Meadows only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
