Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Our Glad.
Bomber's Demon was quick to begin. Scotch Neat was slow to begin.
Steward spoke with trainer Mr. Tony Interligi, regarding the race rug of number six Inter Black Fire. Inter Black Fire's race rug had shifted up the greyhound while it was being loaded into the boxes, and subsequently ran the race with the rug in that position. Mr Interligi's comments were noted.
Bomber's Demon eased entering the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Margaret Read regarding Bomber's Demon’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Bomber's Demon was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Read pleaded guilty to the charge. Bomber's Demon was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
