Our Purple Haze was slow to begin.
Valencia Bella was severely checked entering the home straight and subsequently pulled up, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right humerus fracture. Valencia Bella was humanely euthanised.
Sara's Hand faltered soon after the start and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
