Steward's Report
Miss Majestic was quick to begin. Scala Black and Flagpole were slow to begin.
Miss Majestic (severely checked and fell on the home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and an abrasion. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Flagpole (turned it's head to the outside and marred Wally Wagtail approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sartorius (whip/pencil) injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer, Ms. B Pell regarding Flagpole's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Flagpole was charged with marring. Ms. Pell pleaded guilty to the charge. Flagpole is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
