Steward's Report
The start was delayed by approximately one minute due to holding for a Cairns gallops race.
Black Bow was quick to begin. Just A Jester was slow to begin.
Sword Dancer underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist, right toes and right hamstrings injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr David Bickerton regarding Sword Dancer’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Sword Dancer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Bickerton pleaded guilty to the charge. Sword Dancer was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
