Steward's Report
Meeting Comments: No home straight head on vision was avaliable at today's race meeting.
Shae's Wings was quick to begin. Peak Hour and Kentucky King were slow to begin.
Grey Chief, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf abrasion. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Cortese regarding Grey Chief’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Grey Chief was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge. Grey Chief was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Go Jetters – the winner of the event.
