Steward's Report
Majestic Jay and You Done were quick to begin. Harvard Scholar and New Wave Whine were slow to begin.
New Wave Whine (beaten favourite) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left fibula, right back muscle and left triangle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards questioned Mr Andrew Paraskevas, the trainer of New Wave Whine, after the greyhound performed below market expectations. Stewards noted Mr. Paraskevas’ explanation and directed a sample to be taken from the greyhound.
A post-race sample was taken from You Done - the winner of the event.
There was no head on vision was available in the home straight for this event.
