Circle The Globe, Urano Bale, Mars Bale and Play The Music were quick to begin. Winckie Bale was slow to begin.
A post-race sample was taken from Circle The Globe - winner of the event.
Winckie Bale (marred Moon Stroller on the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left gracillis injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr Jordan Bryce regarding Winckie Bale’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Winckie Bale was charged with marring. Mr Bryce pleaded guilty to the charge. Winckie Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
