Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Starter, Ms. D. Robertson, did not act in any official capacity that may have, in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Fernando Zoom and Rev Neville were slow to begin.
Fernando Zoom (fail to pursue approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Jack Osborne regarding Fernando Zoom’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Fernando Zoom was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Osborne pleaded guilty to the charge. Fernando Zoom was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Lone Rooster - the winner of the event.
