Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Squiggly Sam.
Xavion Bale was slow to begin. Squiggly Sam was very slow to begin.
Perez Bale turned its head inwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Kennel representative Mr. Neil Jones declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jones regarding Perez Bale’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Perez Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge. Perez Bale was suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
