Steward's Report
Avon Swan was slow to begin.
Canya Enhance raced ungenerously on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ned McDonald regarding the racing manners of Canya Enhance on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr McDonald, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
A post–race sample was taken from Avon Swan – the winner of the event.
