Steward's Report
The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 86 due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays on–route to the track. The kennels closed at 6:18pm.
Galloping Jimmy was quick to begin.
Browser visibly eased approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 3. Browser was found to have a left flexor tendon injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Martyn Empson regarding Browser’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Browser was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Empson pleaded guilty to the charge. Browser was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
