A sample was taken from That's Rare upon arrival at the course.
Inga Linda and That's Rare were quick to begin. Sylvan Lake was slow to begin.
Sylvan Lake checked and lost ground on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
