Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Jonathan's Dream.
Joann Flow and Lady Montana were slow to begin.
Lady Montana turned its head to the outside approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 7. Lady Montana was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Phillip Repici regarding Lady Montana’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Lady Montana was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Repici pleaded guilty to the charge. Lady Montana was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
