Steward's Report
Race day samples were taken from Golden Chilly, Just Like Zuma, Matt's Shadow and Perfect Stranger at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Samples were taken from Sight To Explore and Nature Girl upon arrival at the course.
A pre–race sample was taken from Intercept Queen.
Perfect Stranger was slow to begin and raced wide in the home straight.
Golden Chilly (racing manners approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left metacarpals. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr M.Chilcott regarding the racing manners of Golden Chilly approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr Chilcott, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
Just Like Zuma (lost ground approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
