Sundowner – Late scratching at 2:02pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to an elevated temperature. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the race footage after a plover was positioned on the track in the back straight and alighted as the greyhounds approached. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhounds were materially affected so as to affect the outcome of the event. The All Clear was posted.

Olinsky was quick to begin. Lamcome Miss was slow to begin.

Lancome Miss lost ground approaching the home turn and tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 3. Lancome Miss was found to have a right thigh muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was unable to be obtained from Make It Thunder upon arrival at the course, a post–race sample was subsequently taken.

Aston Randal and Crymelon Spirit were quick to begin. Co Pilot was slow to begin.

Malevolent Girl severely checked and fell approaching the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder muscle injury and abrasions to the right fore    A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post–race sample was taken from Zipping Lincoln – the winner of the event. 

A pre–race sample was taken from Tangela Bale.

Sydney Show was slow to begin.

Stout Monelli contacted the running rail approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions. No stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Anderson visibly eased and turned it's head inwards approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 9. Mr. Anderson was found to have a right tarsal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. R. Gibbons regarding Mr. Anderson's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mr. Anderson was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Gibbons pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Anderson was found guilty must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. R. Boehm was issued with a warning under GAR156(f) for negligence, after the greyhound Chasing Thunder was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.

Club Officials were reminded of their responsibilities after the greyhound Chasing Thunder was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
