Steward's Report
Mirabella Bale and Wilson Bale were quick to begin.
Struck Gold underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and a spike wound to the left forleg metatarsals. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Peach regarding Struck Gold’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Struck Gold was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Peach pleaded guilty to the charge. Struck Gold must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
