Steward's Report
Gravitational and Monkey's Style were quick to begin. Hamblin Bale was slow to begin.
Gravitational (checked and lost ground on the second turn and faltered approaching the winning post), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that the greyhond was found to have a left tarsal sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Ms K Pitt, regarding the overall performance of Gravitational.this evening. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms. Pitt to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Gravitational in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. Update 4.10.2023: Trainer K. Pitt reported to Stewards that following an examination by the kennel's vet (2.10.23), Gravitational showed signs of a right wrist sprain and was recomended to rest the Greyhound for a period of 14 days.
