Aston Kuta– New declared weight of 26.8kg last raced at 28.0kg.

Yagoona Bale was slow to begin. 

Approaching the first turn Big Boy Giblet  checked off Indie Andie, faltered and tailed off. Big Boy Giblet underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right biceps injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track approaching the first turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

Mumma Moo Shaka – Late scratching at 10:39am when Michael Bewley reported the greyhound to have an illness(GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Penny Pinto and Sam's Girl were quick to begin. Daryl Dowling and Saint Jayden were slow to begin. 

A post -race sample was taken from Penny Pinto the winner of the event.

Jamie's Gift– Late scratching at 1:08pm when Matthew Tabb reported the greyhound to have an illness. (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

American Angel was a late scratching at  2:23pm by Order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At a subsequent inquiry, Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 to trainer Debbie Bewley for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event.  Ms Bewley. pleaded guilty to the charge, and was fined $250. 

The 28 day stand down period imposed on American Angel was revoked. 

A pre–race sample was taken from - Strike A Night

Strike A Night was quick to begin. Daphnee's Gold and Walking Tora were slow to begin.

Strike A Night – Trainer, Mr. J. Bray was queried as significant betting fluctuations were observed by Stewards. Mr J. Bray stated that he supported the greyhound on an each way basis because in his opinion the greyhound had been trialling well since it's previous race start and he expected a forward showing today.

Jellicent Bale was slow to begin. 

Aston Japan checked approaching home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. 

Retro Agogo – Late scratching at 13:09 when Mr Matthew Tabb reported the greyhound to have to have an illness.(GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

A pre–race sample was taken from Numerous

Numerous and Saint Jade were slow to begin. 

The announcement of the All Clear was held to enable the Stewards to review the start of this race after there was a noticeable delay between the green light being activated until the start occurring. Of note, all greyhounds were visually inspected post-race, and no abnormalities were observed. After reviewing the start of the race and reconciling that the provisions of GAR 108 were carried out correctly (in that the starting boxes did open approximately 7 seconds after the lure being set into motion) the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhound; nor the outcome of the race were affected by the delay in setting the lure into motion, and declared All Clear on the race.

The Stewards do note that there was a delay between the green light being activated and the lure being set into motion and sought explanation from the Lure Driver for this happening. The explanation was noted; with the lure driver being reminded of their responsibilities to commence driving the lure promptly upon the green light signal being issued. The matter was referred to the Lure Driver's Manager for further consideration. 

Freddy Deeds and Hot Rod Charlie were slow to begin.

Hellboy and Koutaki were slow to begin. 

Where's Lesley and Westerly Bale were quick to begin.

A post -race sample was taken from Quinnley Bale the winner of the event.

Double Standard and Ronny Allsorts were slow to begin. 

Double Standard raced wide in the home straight.

A pre–race sample was taken from - Far Away Tears.

Aston Payroll and Far Away Tears were quick to begin. All Day Drive and Show Off Sarah were slow to begin.

Oscar Deeds raced wide in the home straight.

Whirlwind Flyer and Scott To Burn were quick to begin. Stormin' Frank was slow to begin.

Stormin' Frank and Myola Sunrise raced wide in the home straight.

Stormin' Frank (trainers request,) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind split webbing injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

This race was delayed by approximately one minute when Woodroffe ( box first endorsed ) proved difficult to box. 

 Inga Leah and Woodroffe were quick to begin.

Honest Thief severely checked first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards advised trainer Mr N. Bischard (Woodroffe) to ensure that an experienced person handles the greyhound in future events.
