Hit Top Gear (performed below market expectations), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards questioned Mr. G. Lanigan, the representative of Hit Top Gear, after the greyhound performed below market expectations. Stewards noted Mr. Lanigan's explanation. No further action was taken.
