Steward's Report
Speedy Fynn – Late scratching at 8.19am due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. Wayne Hooke was fined $100
Project Mayhem – New declared weight of 27.6kg, last raced at 26.3kg.
Project Mayhem was quick to begin. Blue Bush and Flashy Flirt were slow to begin.
Blue Bush underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr Dylan Bate declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Bate regarding Blue Bush’s racing manners turning into the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Blue Bush was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Bate pleaded guilty to the charge. Blue Bush was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132 before any future nomination will be accepted.
