Little Tango was quick to begin. Alice From Venus was slow to begin.
Keep Paying (failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn and collided with Little Tango) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock spike wound. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms Angela Langton regarding Keep Paying’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Keep Paying was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms A. Langton pleaded guilty to the charge. Keep Paying must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
