Steward's Report
Jeremy Spoke was slow to begin.
Aston Bolivar (lost ground approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Lachlan Scott regarding the racing manners of Aston Bolivar in the concluding stages. After hearing submissions from Mr. Scott, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
Big Brain (lost ground approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Gerard O'Keeffe declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr O'Keeffe regarding the racing manners of Big Brain approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. O'Keeffe, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards issued a warning to connections. Further, Stewards requested Mr O'Keeffe to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Big Brain in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event, pursuant to GAR 122,
