Steward's Report
Sydney Show and Bay Tudor were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Hidden Stones – the winner of the event.
Knockout Norm turned his head outwards in the home straight and collided with Hidden Stones, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Knockout Norm was re - vetted after race 7 and was found to have both foreleg and hindleg spike wounds. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Ms Emily Azzopardi regarding Knockout Norm’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Knockout Norm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Representative Ms Emily Azzopardi pleaded guilty to the charge. Knockout Norm must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
