Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hudson Flyer.
Hobnail Boots was slow to begin.
Hobnail Boots underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 6 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Radstock regarding Hobnail Boots’ performance in the event. After hearing submissions from Mr Radstock, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Hobnail Boots unsatisfactory. Hobnail Boots must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hudson Flyer was severley checked approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
